Christmas Day Fun
This is Kenzi at the Garden of Eden gas station at 11:00 pm on Christmas night. We drove to Twin at 9:00 pm to pick up Ez and his plane hadn't left SLC. They shut down the SLC airport two times that night and it was crazy. The weather was was snowy and icy. Ez was scheduled to leave on Sunday before Christmas but Portland and Seattle were closed two days in a row. So he rented a car and drove to Grandma Nita's then flew to Twin on Christmas. He finally made it and we were glad to have him. This was a season to remember!

Nutcracker Weekend
We had a blast this year for Nutcracker. It was Kenzi's 10th and final year of dancing in the Nutcracker. Her solos were Harlequin and the Arabian. She did awesome and nailed her poses. We're so proud of her. We had an open house to honor her on Saturday night and we had lots of friends and family to help us celebrate.
Thanks to all our family and friends who helped make this special time extra fun for our family.

Thanksgiving Day !
Well the big day came and went. It was spectacular! We went to this cool place in Albion, an old school campus from the early 1900's. Converted into a beautiful hall to house all 50 of us. Thats right, 50 adults and kids. All the family's had their seperate rooms and lots of toilets and bathrooms for all. We had so much food it would make your head spin.(or your stomach!) It was a great day of riding bikes, shooting guns, cause thats what you do when you live in Idaho. . . catching up with all the new babies, neices and newphews. It was great. Thanks to Terril that made all this happen. I hope you all had great days and enjoyed being with your own families. Didn't make the "Black Friday" thing but thats ok. Looking forward to the Christmas activities ahead. By the way, Ezra is officially engaged! We're so excited to have Felicia apart of our family.

"Baby It's Cold Outside"
The weather has taken a turn for the colder! We have the heat on 24 seven now because it's dipping in the high 20's. WOW! Everyone has plans for the Thanksgiving week. Ez is flying to Utah to meet Felicia's family and then home here in Heyburn on Friday back to SL on Sat. and fly back to Oregon. We are having a mini Douglass Family reunion here and I'm looking forward to seeing all the cousins. Everyone has new babies and spouses so it should be fun and catch up. I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Make sure you all work out to burn off those tators!
Kenzi's Senior Picture
Here's one of many senior pictures we took of Kenzi, with Emily

Thank Goodness It's Friday !
It's another beautiful day in Heyburn. Can you believe it? A wonderful 50 degrees. We are spoiled by this weather for sure. The weekend looks like it will be fun with Kenzi going to the Harvest Dance, Colt's off to Boise for Brooke's birthday and Ez is hanging out in Oregon. Paul and I might get to go on a date. . . Something else besides grocery shopping at Costco, I hope!
I miss my sister and mom this time of year. Not being able to go shopping and doing some fun crafty thing with them. I hope someday that will happen. They will be here in two weeks for the Nutcracker and I will have awesome pictures to post.
Thought for the day:
"Conscience is the inner voice that warns us somebody may be looking."

Today is A New Day
Mondays are not a fun day. Thats why I love Tuesdays! Terriffic Tuesday thats what I say. Spent most of the day doing busy work and enjoying the great balmy weather. We can't believe how nice it is during the day.
Things I'm thankful for today: My husband who is more patient with me today than yesterday, Kenzi who is beautiful and strong and smart, Colton who is funny and loves me, and Ez who is learning so much with life and loving every minute of it. I love my family and so thankful for life itself.

Things I'm Thankful For
I will follow Elise's blog and tell of some things I'm thankful for today.
My husband who works so hard and always stays calm. My children, who make me smile
especially when I need to and that I have Friday nights back because poor Minico lost they're
state game. So sad.

Heck of a Day
Lots of fun today! Got up at 7:00, started laundry, fed the cats, cleaned the litter box, did the grocery shopping before 9 am. Went to a "Super Saturday" to support Erin, our fearless Homemaking Leader, finished the laundry, took Kenzi to get senior portraits taken by Emily, our favorite photographer. . . and then came home at 6 and made dinner for Colt who had 4 wisdom teeth pulled that were totally impacted into the bone yesterday. WHEW!

Fall In Idaho is a great time of year. It's Kenzi's favorite I think because of all the beautiful colors. We did a quick freeze right before Halloween and everything froze and turned black. UGH! So we didn't get alot of pretty colors as other times before. The weather is beautiful and we have enjoyed the sun as much as possible. It won't be long before the heat is on full time and you can't go anywhere without a coat.
